To Spirograph or Not to Spirograph

At the center of the great debate..........I love spirographs, in fact, my love for them started when I was little and used to play with my Aunt Debbie's set. In my search for a vintage set, I ended up "acquiring" the motherload of spirograph pieces. Which in fact will be basis of my crafting for 2008, even my Christmas ornaments this year will revolve around spirograph. So when I found these tiles I was estatic to say the least, problem is Sam's not into the spirograph thing. So here's your chance to help me plead my case. To Spirograph or Not to Spirograph. Leave your comments, I promise not to delete the no's. To make it even more interesting I will send a spirograph set to one of the commenters, so that you can rediscover Spirograph.
~Lorie~
Just to clear up any questions, I am not using the Spirograph pieces exclusively, just randomly!
By the way, they will be in Main Bathroom.

6816 SW Fenwick

We close tomorrow! These are the before pictures. Sam and I have spent quite a few hours at Lowe's during the past few days. Many changes to come. We also have a two car garage, which will end up not housing any cars at all. The laundry room is in the garage too. We will start painting on Monday. We were actually able to get a really good deal on the house. The owner was going to replace doors and paint, etc. but we opted to do it ourselves and saved alot of money. Eventually the carpet will go bye byes and be replaced with hardwood and ceramic tile. I am very excited to get started. Sam and I have been playing a game in Lowe's, he is very good I must admit. I pick out fixtures, etc. and he has to guess which one I would pick. I must say he has been absolutely 100% right on every choice. He knows me well. Now if I can just convince him that the spirograph tiles would look great in the bathroom..........

Update

We're safe and sound in Lawton. The kids are all in school (finally). Shay is at Eisenhower High and Andrew and Alex are at the Jr. High. Melissa, Jacob and Abigail are at Almor West.

They like their teachers and are settling in pretty well.

Sam doesn't sign in until March 10th, but is working on a few remodeling jobs.

We have found a house but are waiting for the closing, which could be as late as the end of March. I will post pictures once I have a firm closing date.

More later!

Welcome to Fort Sill

When we arrived at Fort Sill this is the sign that welcomed us.
We were kind of laughing because ours was the only name on the board.
It remained there all day!

The Last Hoo-Haa

WE had one last hoo-haa with friends before we left North Carolina.
I hate saying goodbye.
We had lunch with Kayla and Albert before we left too. Usually it's the child who leaves the parent behind not the other way around. But they've decided to stay in Fayetteville. Thank goodness for cell phones and internet.

Moving Trucks a Nightmare in Disguise

I didn't think we made too many "demands", but you never know.
1. Please don't show up with a truck half full, our stuff won't fit and you'll pile it all into an overflow shipment and everything will be broken. (Been there done that don't wish to repeat).
Sure enough the truck was half full.
2. Please crate the popcorn machine, while it might seem silly, I really like my machine and don't want to spent $800 on another one.
It almost took an act of congress to get "permission" to crate it.... I'm not kidding it was that ridiculous.
3. I know, I know, there was a huge amount of Christmas trees, sorry, I like trees. But please wrap them or something. Don't just shove them into the empty spaces on the truck, and oh my heck that's exactly what they did! I'm going to cry when they come out of storage.

Look What I Found!

While packing up our stuff, I found the motherload of undeveloped film! My plan is to turn in a couple of rolls per week for the next year..........I'll post the pictures as I do. This should be really interesting because some of the rolls have 1996 dates on them!
